Nigeria Army rescues 31 abducted churchgoers, recovers five bodies from terrorists in Kaduna


The Nigerian Army rescued 31 kidnapped churchgoers and recovered 5 bodies from terrorists in Kaduna State.

A statement by the Army revealed that the incident occurred on Sunday at an ECWA Church in Ariko Village in Kachin Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to the Army, troops responding to a distress call from the church, engaged and overwhelmed the terrorists in a gun duel.

The Army disclosed that the terrorists fled, leaving behind 31 abducted victims and five deceased persons.

One seriously injured victim is said to be alive and receiving treatment.
