Tiger Woods announces he is stepping away from golf “for a period of time”

American golf legend, Tiger Woods, will be stepping away from golf “for a period of time” the star announced.

He cited the need to “seek treatment and focus on my health.”

Wood’s decision comes after a significant rollover car accident on March 27, 2024, in Jupiter, Florida, which led to a misdemeanor DUI charge.

He also turned down the opportunity to serve as the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain at Adare Manor. His decision also means that he will miss the 2026 Masters Tournament scheduled to start April 9.
